Level Grading Scale [READ]
LEVEL SCORING:
Hello! Thank you for taking your time to read this. In order for your level to be rated, it needs an ID posted, not a level name. Level results will come faster if you provide a video for level judges to watch. Here is the rubric.
Excellent Level
To reach a level marked "excellent", the average score must be 4.5-5.
Good Level
To reach a level marked "good", the average score must be 4-4.4.
Decent Level
To reach a level marked "decent", the average score must be 3-3.9.
Mediocre Level
To reach a level marked "decent", the average score must be 2-2.9.
Weak Level
All levels that have an average score under 2.0 are marked as "weak".
RUBRIC:
The five areas are: Gameplay, Decoration, Transitions, Cleanliness, and Music Sync.
Gameplay:
5: The level shows a variety of gameplay modes. The gameplay is easy to understand, and very enjoyable to play.
4: The level shows a few gameplay modes. The gameplay is generally easy to understand, and enjoyable to play.
3: The level has some parts of repetition. The gameplay is confusing in a few parts, and okay to play.
2: The level shows many parts of repetition. The gameplay generally is confusing, and hard to play.
1: This level is very repetitive. The gameplay is uninteresting, and deters players from completing the level.
N/A: This level is an auto.
Decoration:
5: The level shows a very good theme, and decorations are placed in appropriate areas.
4: The level shows some theme, and decorations are generally placed in the correct areas.
3: The level is slightly bouncy, and decorations are sometimes misplaced.
2: The level shows no theme, and decorations seem copied+pasted.
1: The level showed bad decoration combos, and any effects are all copied+pasted.
Transitions:
5: The transitions occurred based on the intensity of music, and are easy to detect.
4: The transitions usually moved to the music, and were detectable.
3: The transitions sometimes randomly popped, and took memory to detect.
2: The transitions were misplaced and take several times to understand.
1: The transitions were odd, and deter the overall quality of the level.
Cleanliness:
5: The level shows a very clean theme, immaculate of overlapping decorations.
4: The level shows a generally clean theme. Not many overlapping decorations.
3: The level shows a somewhat clean theme. The level may have missing cornerpieces or portal overlapping.
2: This level shows a messy theme. The level has many missing cornerpieces and has overlapping portals and decorations.
1: This level is extremely messy. The level lacks structure and is very messy.
Music Sync:
5: The level perfectly syncs to the music. Intensity of effects match the intensity of the music.
4: The level usually syncs. Intensity of effects slightly match the intensity of the music.
5: The level occasionally syncs. Intensity of effects do not match the intensity of music.
2: The level rarely syncs. Intensity of events are off-key.
1: The level does not sync. The effects are disproportionate to the music.
All levels will be graded by 2 judges, and their feedback will be posted anonymously through the level judge account.
